Cellulite Treatments
What is Cellulite?
Cellulite results from the interaction between fibrous connective bands that tether the skin to the muscle, and the fat deposits just below them. As fat cells accumulate, they push up against the skin and the connective fibers are pulled downward, creating an uneven or dimpled appearance. Although weight gain and fluid retention will tend to increase cellulite, it can also affect those who are lean.
Cellulite tends to run in families, so genetics may play the biggest role in whether you develop it. A poor diet, a sedentary lifestyle and excess toxins in the body will also contribute to the severity of cellulite.
Factors that contribute to Cellulite
There are various factors that contribute to whether you have cellulite, and its severity. Hormones, age, genetics, and lifestyle all play a crucial role.
Estrogen, the primary female hormone, is significant in regulating fat and any imbalances can affect the development of cellulite. During the reproductive years, estrogen production increases, causing fat to naturally build up. When estrogen levels decline during menopause, fat deposits shift and tend to accumulate in the abdomen, worsening cellulite. A slowing metabolism and a decrease in collagen production that accompanies the natural aging process will also contribute. Skin loses its elasticity and becomes thinner, making cellulite more apparent.
How does this treatment benefit you?

Before Treatment
An initial body consultation would be required to correctly identify and treat your condition properly. There are several treatments we offer to combat cellulite and smooth away those dimples, such as radio frequency and ultrasound therapy. These treatments are non-invasive and require no down-time or recovery. Fat, skin structure, muscle tone and inflammation in your body will be assessed to create a customized treatment plan based on your individual needs and goals.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage will be added to your treatment plan to further eliminate existing inflammation, ensuring the most optimal and long-lasting results. The number of sessions and combined therapies recommended will depend on your unique situation.
