Microneedling
Microneedling is a safe, effective, and minimally-invasive procedure that applies microneedles to the skin, creating a series of tiny punctures to stimulate collagen production, resulting in smoother and younger-looking skin!
What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) involves using fine needles to create hundreds of tiny, invisible puncture wounds in the top layer of skin. It may not sound appealing but… The micro-injuries we create stimulate the body’s natural wound healing processes, resulting in cell turnover and increased collagen and elastin production, therefore reversing as well as preventing signs of aging.

Consider Microneedling if you want to:
- Reduce fine and deep wrinkles
- Repair visible scars
- Shrink pores
- Help aging skin
- Make your skincare products work better
Did you know that only 4 to 8 percent of the expensive serum you’re using on your face actually penetrates your skin?
The microneedling benefit is that it improves product absorption, allowing you to reap greater benefits of any product.
This makes sense considering that micro-needling creates thousands of invisible holes in your skin that are ready to absorb products in a way clogged pores can’t.
The tiny punctures actually act like little channels, allowing topical products to penetrate better and work more effectively.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the benefits of Microneedling?
Microneedling can significantly reduce and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, traumatic scars, and stretch marks.
When will I see results from Microneedling?
Patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results can continue to improve up to 6 months after a treatment as collagen production continues.
How many treatments will I need?
Some patients only require a single treatment once per year to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 3-4 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks, or acne scars it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 6-week intervals.
How long does it take to recover from Microneedling? What is the downtime?
There is no downtime required following a light Microneedling session. However, it is common for the skin to look pink for the first 24 hours. Microneedling may be superficial and gentle or deeper and more injurious depending on the condition of the skin being treated. Ointments and cleansing may be required for up to five days with redness of the area occurring for up to a month. Side effects of Micro-Needling are rare, but in a few cases, pigmentation changes can occur.
